WCPCST commitment to deliver quality services (clinical, rehabilitative, vocational, educational and training services to patients, special persons (of all ages), students/ trainees/professionals (psychology, special education, speech and language, social work, sociology, physiotherapy) and a superior customer experience every time.
The first clinic (Name: Wellbeing Psychology Clinic) was established in 2015 at Karim Park Ravi Road Lahore for private practice purposes. The owner of the clinic was Miss Iram Sharif. In 2016, Mr. Wamiq Adill joined it and started to provide clinical/social work services there. Shahdara was listed as a remote area (i.e., Only medical centers or general hospitals; in 2 hospitals physiotherapists were providing their services but no any psychological (Even though psychiatrists were working there but none of them was found in referral process to psychologists)services, and other allied health services such as speech-language, occupation therapy, nutritional, social work or clinical social work services etc.) of District Lahore by Rescue Volunteers Organization & Human Wellbeing Psychological Association. There was only one special education school (at Feroz wala kachahri) & no any other special education training institute or center was found to meet needs of area. So, there was need to equip that area with all health and special education services. To meet that challenge, An awareness Campaign was launched there, in 2017 (by both organizations) that covered educational & health r/d institutions to introduce psychological & other allied health services there. In 2018, a complete clinical and educational set up was established in Shahdara, Lahore. Name of the clinic was changed to Wellbeing Center for Psychotherapy, counseling & speech-language Therapy (The name highlighted all areas to aware people about services). Shahdara was selected as a bridging point between Lahore and many other areas (cities, towns, villages; like Sheikupura, Nnkana sahib, Kot Abdulmalik, Hafizabad, Gujranwala etc.) nearby to it indicated another aim of RVO & HWPA that is to minimize the rush of patients to Lahore. RVO & HWPA offices & help desks are working there for welfare of the community especially for those who cannot afford costly treatments (No cost to very low cost).
Basically the Wellbeing Center is an independent private set up run by Miss Iram Sharif (Owner). It is not a charity based center. All expenses are borne by its owner solely not by any Organization, foundation or charity person. The owner has allowed both organizations to work there to meet their aim of serving the poor (Humanity) & organizations are working independently with their own organizational staff. The Center is providing clinical, Rehabilitation, educational & training services at affordable cost. Center has the following Zones; Clinic zone (Assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, treatment & management services), Special Learning Zone (Inclusive education system - both for normal & special persons), Research Point (diorders, new health polices, improvement guidelines, social and individual issues etc.), Wellbeing School for skill development (Teaching & training zone), Ttraining institute for social services (Teaching & training institute), Rehabilitation Zone (Day care services for persons with special needs). Clinical service areas are psychotherapy, Behavior therapy, Counseling & Guidance, speech-language therapy, occupation therapy, physiotherapy, Spiinal, vision & hearing screening, target disorder/illness specific services (i.e autism, dyslexia, dysphagia, dysarthia, arthritis, schizophrenia, memory, addiction etc.) & special education. Center has visiting faculty for additional services such as; Homeopathy & Nutrition twice a month.
